With Flightgear from Bourgas (LBBG) to Istanbul (LTBA)

A simple tutorial to use navigational aids (Navaids) to fly from Burgas to Istanbul.

1. Start Flightgear with this command
   
   
   fgfs --multiplay=in,< yourip >,5000 --multiplay=out,10,mpserver01.flightgear.org,5000 --callsign=protox --airport=LBBG
   
   
   


2. put on Radio Nav1 : 112.0 MHz (VOR BGS) and add Course: 114°


3. put on Radio Nav2 : 112.5 MHz (VORTAC IST) and add Course: 178°


4. Now you can start: Add power to the engine and climb to 500feet straight runway


5. Put the machine on intercept course 110° and start the autopilot ([AP] button)

then you can adjust the autopilot ..

6. put the climb rate at 500 fpm
7. rotate the altitude button until it shows 2000 feet
8. Push the NAV button to put the autopilot on intercept and follow course (114°)
9. the Machine will intercept the course and follow it at altitude of 2000 feet.
10. follow it until the second NAV shows that you are almost on course 178° for the LTBA

11. Switch the two NAV Radios so that NAV1 is 112.50MHz on course 178°
12. Follow it until you are 15Mi from the airport
13. Switch the NAV1 Radio to 111.10 course 178.4
14. Reset the autopilot and start it again .. then push the APR button .. the machine will intercept the Glideslope and follow it.
15. 2Mi from the airport you can switch off the AP and land it yourself.
16. Bravo .. now do that in reverse :-D
